Advocacy
Householders’ Options to Protect the Environment (HOPE) Inc. (Australia) advocates for responsible and sustainable stewardship of the environment. HOPE does this by researching current issues, trends and campaigns and publishing literature (via information sheets, e: newsletter and social media) to raise awareness of these issues to the general public. HOPE provides high quality research, resources and educational material to foster informed public-led advocacy to put pressure on the government to implement policies, legislation and goals that support a sustainable way of living. By actively speaking up for the environment, advocating for policies that safeguard ecosystems, and raising awareness of critical environmental challenges, HOPE empowers communities to influence public opinion and policy.
HOPE is guided by its Charter and Strategic Plan; and undertakes activities in its own right and/or in support of our NGO Partnerships and Alliances.
Our main aims are to:
- actively speak up on behalf of the environment;
